Given its way to people incapable of doing the same. For real, I was with a sociopath for close to ten years. She didn’t feel in a conventional way and could not reciprocate love genuinely. But… we somehow had a great friendship through it all.

Can’t imagine how you went through all that for ten years.

Put simply, I loved her. It was damaging for sure but she taught me a lot about self worth and loving myself in a backwards sort of way.
